build each other up.
be a good neighbor.
We believe in being an active member of the community. We love our neighborhoods and we show this love through intentional acts of kindness, development, support, and advocacy.
KEY PILLARS
A holistic approach means showing up when others have walked out. It means taking a political stance on policies that matter. It means finding connections, and creating a network of support to offer more than a safety net, we offer a spring board.
REBUILDING
BCDC is committed to help individuals, families, and communities rebuild their lives after a crisis or setback. It involves providing resources or services to help people get back on their feet, such as job training, housing assistance, or mental health support. The rebuilding process can also involve infrastructural development, such as rebuilding homes or community centers.
REPAIRING
We address existing damage or harm, either to individuals, families, or communities. This involves providing counseling or therapeutic services to help people heal from trauma, connecting legal aid to those who have been wronged, or working to repair damaged infrastructure. The goal is to mend what has been broken and bring it back to functionality.
RESTORING
Our goal to help people and communities not just survive, but thrive. Restoring involve helping people regain their self-confidence and independence, or working to revive local economies and social structures. It’s about bringing things back to their original state, or even better, creating a state of improved well-being and prosperity.
